About Stone Painting is a decorative surface art practice that combines painting, design planning and creative use of natural forms. The shape, texture and size of each stone provide a unique base for creating miniature artworks, decorative objects and personalised handmade pieces.
In this Stone Painting Workshop, participants will be introduced to stone preparation, base coating, design layout, brush control, colour application, outlining, detailing and finishing methods. They will learn how to create nature-inspired forms, animals, birds, floral motifs, mandala patterns, abstract designs, miniature landscapes and decorative compositions on stone surfaces. The session also helps participants understand how surface texture and natural shape can be used creatively in artwork.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this painting workshop for teens and adults helps participants develop creativity, observation, colour sense and confidence while exploring an enjoyable handmade art technique.
