About Pottery Making is a traditional clay-based craft practice that focuses on form, balance, structure and hand control. Working with clay on a pottery wheel allows participants to understand the relationship between movement, pressure and shape while creating functional and decorative objects.
In this Pottery Making Workshop, participants will be introduced to clay preparation, centering, wheel handling, shaping, raising forms, smoothing and basic finishing methods. They will learn how to develop simple pots, bowls, vessels, planters and other clay forms while understanding proportion, surface quality and structure. The session provides a practical introduction to pottery as both a craft and a creative art process.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this pottery workshop for teens and adults helps learners develop patience, focus, material understanding and creative confidence through a meaningful hands-on clay experience.
