About Pencil Shading is a fundamental drawing practice that helps participants understand tone, form, structure, light and shadow. It is an important foundation for sketching, portrait study, still life, nature study and realistic drawing.
In this Pencil Shading Workshop, participants will be introduced to pencil grades, pressure control, tonal scale, shading methods, hatching, cross-hatching, blending, texture development and observation-based drawing. They will learn how to study individual elements of nature, basic forms, objects and other suitable subjects while applying correct tonal values and shadow effects.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this drawing and shading workshop for teens and adults helps learners develop observation, hand control, tonal understanding and confidence in realistic drawing techniques.
