About Paper Origami is a structured and expressive art form based on the technique of folding paper into sculptural and decorative compositions. Traditionally associated with Japanese paper-folding practices, origami is appreciated for its elegance, discipline, precision and creative versatility.
In this Paper Origami Workshop, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of origami, including paper selection, basic folds, fold sequencing, symmetry, form development and finishing presentation. They may explore the creation of birds, floral motifs, geometric forms, stars, boxes, butterflies and other decorative paper sculptures. The workshop also supports the development of concentration, fine motor control, visual understanding and creative problem-solving.
