About Paper Mache is a versatile mixed-media craft process in which paper and adhesive layers are used to build three-dimensional forms and decorative surfaces. It is widely appreciated for its flexibility, creative freedom and strong scope for handmade art and recycled craft.
In this Paper Mache Workshop, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of paper preparation, paste application, layering methods, mould building, free-form shaping, drying process, surface finishing and decorative treatment. They may develop items such as masks, bowls, trays, planters, wall hangings, sculptural forms, birds, animals and experimental creative objects. The session may also include painting, texture enhancement and finishing methods to improve the final presentation.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this Paper Mache workshop for teens and adults helps participants build artistic confidence while learning an enjoyable and eco-conscious craft practice.
