About Paper Collage is a visual art technique that combines paper cutting, layering, composition and texture to create expressive handmade artworks. It encourages participants to understand colour relationships, surface quality, form-building and visual arrangement through a creative paper-based process.
In this Paper Collage Workshop, participants will be introduced to paper selection, tearing methods, cutting techniques, layering, adhesive use, composition planning and finishing. They will learn how to develop subjects such as portraits, landscapes, abstract compositions, folk-inspired imagery, decorative panels or theme-based artworks using coloured papers, newspaper, magazine cut-outs, handmade sheets and textured papers.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this paper art workshop for teens and adults helps participants develop creativity, design understanding and confidence while exploring a versatile and expressive collage-making technique.
