About Newspaper Craft is an eco-friendly craft practice that combines recycling, structure-making, surface treatment and handmade product design. By using newspaper tubes, folding methods and weaving techniques, participants can create functional and decorative craft objects from a simple everyday material.
In this Newspaper Craft Workshop, participants will be introduced to newspaper rolling, tube preparation, weaving, shaping, joining, strengthening and finishing methods. They will learn how to develop products such as baskets, containers, pen stands, trays, bowls, decorative forms and utility craft objects. The session may also include colour application, varnishing and decorative surface finishing to enhance the durability and presentation of the final product.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this craft workshop for teens and adults helps participants develop creativity, hand skills, patience and material understanding while exploring a sustainable handmade craft technique.
