About Mosaic Art is a decorative surface art practice that combines composition, colour arrangement, material handling and handcrafted finishing. By using small tile pieces and basic mosaic tools, participants can build visually rich artworks with texture, pattern and structural balance.
In this Mosaic Art Workshop, participants will be introduced to tile cutting or breaking methods, safe tool handling, layout planning, piece arrangement, adhesive application, spacing control and finishing techniques. They will learn how to develop floral motifs, geometric compositions, abstract patterns, borders and decorative text-based designs on different surfaces such as boards, trays, frames or similar bases. The process encourages careful observation, design sensitivity and creative problem-solving through hands-on practice.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this Mosaic Art workshop for teens and adults helps participants explore a beautiful decorative medium while developing patience, hand control, material understanding and creative confidence.
