About Lippan Art is a traditional decorative craft practice that combines relief work, mirror embellishment and surface design. Known for its textured appearance and ornamental beauty, this art form offers participants an engaging way to explore handcrafted composition, pattern building and decorative finishing.
In this Lippan Art Workshop, participants will be introduced to base preparation, motif planning, clay application, raised pattern development, mirror placement and finishing techniques. They will learn how to create symmetrical and decorative compositions using floral forms, mandala structures, geometric patterns and traditional design elements on MDF or similar surfaces. The session may also include colour finishing and contemporary adaptations of Lippan-style décor.
