About Gond Art is a traditional Indian folk and tribal art practice known for its rhythmic pattern work, linear detailing and symbolic representation of nature and life forms. Its visual identity is built through repeated marks, intricate textures and stylised forms, making it both expressive and decorative.
In this Gond Art Workshop, participants will be introduced to the visual language of Gond painting, including motif development, pattern construction, line treatment, surface filling, composition planning and colour application. They will learn how to create birds, animals, trees and other folk-inspired subjects using acrylic on canvas or ink on paper. The session will also help participants understand how to maintain balance, detail and harmony within a traditional decorative art format.
Designed by Himanshu Art Institute, this Gond painting workshop for teens and adults helps participants build creative confidence while exploring an important and visually rich Indian art tradition.
