About Block Printing is a traditional surface design technique that combines craft, pattern-making and visual composition. Using carved wooden blocks and suitable colours, participants can create repeated motifs, borders and decorative arrangements on fabric or paper.
In this Block Printing Workshop, learners will be introduced to the essential materials and methods used in hand block printing. They will learn colour preparation, block handling, pressure control, alignment, repetition, pattern planning and finishing techniques. The session may include printing on paper, fabric, or other appropriate surfaces.
