About the Course
Miniature painting is a traditional style of art that is very detailed, often referred to as painting “in miniature.” Traditionally, a ‘miniature’ painting had nothing to do with size. It was more about the media and technique. Painting techniques such as stippling, hatching and pointillism are sometimes only visible under magnification. Because of their origins as illuminations, miniatures are painted to have a surface as smooth as possible.
